I drove from Whitehorse to Inuvik again, ending my vacation to the south.

It was very nice until the last day on the Dempster, when I drove into a whiteout and my tire went flat.

I did not have the right wrench to fix it, so I had to wave down one of the very few passersby for help.

I was beginning to contemplate spending the night out there, which wouldn’t have been so bad. I had enough fuel to keep turning the car on every hour or so to keep me warm. It would have been pretty cool, but I’m glad I got home in the end.

Here are some pics.
